Lebanon recognises two state holidays each year where workers are guaranteed time off from work. These holidays are guaranteed for every worker through the Department of Ministry and the Lebanese Labor Laws. These holidays include May 1 (Labor Day) and November 22 (Independence Day).

The government of Lebanon also reserves the right to declare additional non-working holidays throughout the year. These announcements are made on their government website and often through the Central Bank.

Lebanon also recognizes many secular and religious holidays throughout the year. Some of these holidays are later declared non-working days by the government, while others are just symbolically recognised.
